Whatsapp Android IOS versions got Starred Messages feature


WhatsApp Messenger app: For which you don't need introduction, because we do have it in smartphones. WhatsApp Messenger is a cross-platform messaging app through which you can send messages without worrying about charges. 
Whatsapp uses your data plan to send messages, there is no cost to message and stay in touch with your friends. WhatsApp Messenger is available for iPhone IOS, BlackBerry, Android, Windows Phone and Nokia. As I said earlier you can send messages from any type of phone to any other phone.

07/11/15 : New Starred Messages features :

Whatsapp gets latest update with Starred Messages and Resend message feature. This feature allows users to bookmark important messages, images and videos. This features rolled out for IOS, Android users. But for Windows users it is still not available.

For IOS users, latest version 2.12.7 update is available in Itunes store. But For Android update is not available in the Play store. You need to download Whatsapp latest version 2.12.347 from the Whatsapp website.

Starred Messages feature: 

Sometimes you friends sends you important messages. Or you want to save the memories with your buddies. With new feature you can Bookmark them and get back to them later. To Bookmark important messages or images sent by your friends follow the instructions. Just press and hold the message or image you want to Bookmark. 

For IOS users, you'll get options right over the message. In that just select the star symbol, that's all done. You have bookmarked the message. To get back to those messages just go to Menu, there you can find the Starred Messages option, select it.

For Android users, you'll get options on top of Whatsapp. In that just select the Star symbol, same as IOS users. After tapping the star, you message gets bookmarked. To access them again, just go to Menu and there you can find the Starred Messages option, select it.

28/09/15: Whatsapp got Google drive integration:

Everything goes on cloud storage from videos to photos, even all of your account details. But What about Whatsapp messages? Yes, Whatsapp also got this feature. As I mentioned earlier about Whatsapp having Google Drive integration.

Whatsapp latest version 2.12.292 rolled out with Google drive integration. You just download it from Whatsapp apk for android. After installing this update, Whatsapp directly asks you to integrate with Google drive. But it is not mandatory to link to Google drive. When you open Whatsapp, app asks you to back up messages and media.

For Back up you need to provide, a gmail account to store them. After selecting the account, it asks for backup frequency. Means when to backup your data to Google drive. You can select either Daily or weekly or even monthly. You have option to also upload you whatsapp videos to Google drive. To

28/08/15: WhatsApp Updated - 5 latest features for Android:

I always keeps an eye over the latest whatsapp updated features. The latest WhatsApp update in Google Play has introduced 'mark as read' feature, need to say first. Next Changes to emoji's, Custom notifications etc,. I just updated, go through all those features. This new update is not only for android users but also for IOS and windows users.

After one month of Beta testing, finally WhatsApp rolled out version 2.12.250 for Android users. Which consists of 5 major updates, to enhance user messaging interface and experience. This time whatsapp not just only focused on user experience, but more control over Notifications.

1.Mark as Read and Unread feature:

Android users will soon be able to mark a conversation as read, without even going into it. Simply press and hold the chat, then you'll get a Pop up the on main screen. Just look for 'Mark as Read' option in appeared pop up at bottom. You can do this in reverse too and long press to 'Mark as Unread' so you don't forget to return to a message later. 
Things to remember:
To be clear, this feature does not make it appear as if you have not read the message yet, and
1.This features only helps you to just remind yourself to read that message again.
2. Your messages will still appear as read to senders even after you mark them as unread.
3. Marking a message as unread will not change the order of conversations on the app.

We can't imagine WhatsApp without Emoticons, not only that in any messaging app. Whatsapp putting it's efforts to improve emoticons, which are better to express rather than in words.
With the whatsapp updated comes some new emojis, skin tone variations for existed emoticons. These things are less friendly to explain, so take a look at the Emoji variations. New Emoji's includes Rude Middle Finger emoji, new facial expressions, bunch of other emoji's.

3.Custom Notifications to chats:

You have now full control on your chats an notifications. This new feature brings with it an entire set of custom options for individual contacts, which are currently in use for everyone in your contact list. Open a contact's profile page and you'll see you've also got a setting for Custom Notifications. Tap it and check the box to activate the options, then choose custom notification sounds, notification colors, popup actions and more.

Till now, we have only been able to mute group conversations, but with the new update Android users are able to mute individual contacts as well. If you want to mute any person on your contact list, check the Mute bar in the Profile page, just below custom notifications.

4.WhatsApp calls low data usage

Whatsapp Calls have been big relief for normal cellular provider rates. Nowdays people getting to make Whatsapp calls. As Whatsapp understood this thing it just gone through it. It implemented a feature to lower data usage over Whatsapp calls.

Where can I find it?
Head to: Settings>Chats and Calls> Click on Low Data Usage (By clicking this you have chance to reduce whatsapp calls data usage).

The low data usage option can be found in the Chats and Calls menu within WhatsApps settings. It affects how much mobile data is consumed during WhatsApp calls. This could be an excellent addition for those who often make calls using mobile data, although we don't yet know to what extent it reduces the data consumed.
